Head of Accreditation and Professional Development is required for the Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange.

Salary: Circa £40,000 (+ Performance Related Bonus)

Location: London based with nationwide travel

The NEF Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (IKE) is a new high profile professional body that promotes the development of innovation, knowledge and technology exchange. IKE has a mandate to drive productivity and growth through:

• Developing the Institute’s membership and networks
• Promoting active horizon-scanning to embrace disruptive innovation
• Developing new business growth services and resources for members
• Supporting initial and continued professional development
• Strengthening and promoting better links between education, business and policy makers

This position requires a driven and experienced individual. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Accreditation and Professional Development will play a key role in leading the development of the Institute’s educational and professional training programmes with its members, partners and stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Create the Institute’s educational and professional development offer
• Lead the validation and accreditation of programmes with universities and other professional bodies
• Liaise with member organisations on all aspects of innovation and professional development
• Lead facilitation sessions effectively
• Undertake quality assurance of learning and development
• Establish effective models for innovation service delivery
• Undertake market research and impact assessments in areas of innovation

Person Specification

• Educated to a Masters level (ideally with a combined technical and management background)
• Experience of working in professional development, accreditation processes and developing quality assurance frameworks
• Strong facilitation and communications ability
• Experience of implementing and accelerating innovation processes in organisations
• Appreciation of the impact of innovation and science and technology sectors (e.g. technology mapping)
• Possess exceptional influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience of developing collaborative networks between education, business and policy makers
