Salary: Circa £40,000 (+ Performance Related Bonus)

The NEF Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (IKE) is a new high profile professional body that promotes the development of innovation, knowledge and technology exchange. IKE has a mandate to drive productivity and growth through:
- Developing the Institute’s membership and networks
- Promoting active horizon-scanning to embrace disruptive innovation
- Developing new business growth services and resources for members
- Supporting initial and continued professional development
- Strengthening and promoting better links between education, business and policy makers
This position requires a driven and experienced individual. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Accreditation and Professional Development will play a key role in leading the development of the Institute’s educational and professional training programmes with its members, partners and stakeholders.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Create the Institute’s educational and professional development offer
- Lead the validation and accreditation of programmes with universities and other professional bodies
- Liaise with member organisations on all aspects of innovation and professional development
- Lead facilitation sessions effectively
- Undertake quality assurance of learning and development
- Establish effective models for innovation service delivery
- Undertake market research and impact assessments in areas of innovation
Person Specification
- Educated to a Masters level (ideally with a combined technical and management background)
- Experience of working in professional development, accreditation processes and developing quality assurance frameworks
- Strong facilitation and communications ability
- Experience of implementing and accelerating innovation processes in organisations
- Appreciation of the impact of innovation and science and technology sectors (e.g. technology mapping)
- Possess exceptional influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience of developing collaborative networks between education, business and policy makers
